"Capturing that single most important moment and turning it into a
lifetime memory is why I am a professional photographer."
Hi there, My name is Mike Campano and Welcome to the website.
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my wife and kids and of course working behind my camera. I am a stay at home dad that works hard at bringing my children up and giving them opportunities to enjoy just being a kid.
I am proud to say I am a veteran of the US Air Force and served as a C-5 Galaxy Loadmaster during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. When I got out of the military I earned my license as an emergency medical technician and was certified in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I worked for a local ambulance company and also as a trauma tech at a level one trauma center.
My journey continued but I never really had a sense of what I wanted to do until I picked up a camera as a hobby. I enjoyed capturing the scenic landscapes and the vastness of the Narragansett Bay but I wanted to photograph people.
" The ability to tell the story in one image and capture the emotion of the viewer was what I knew I wanted to do."
I applied to a local daily newspaper and became the lead photographer and photo editor of a 5 publication newsroom.
While it was rewarding and gave me a chance to meet people of all different levels of society I still wanted to something a little different. I wanted to photograph the happier parts of life, the milestones, the special events, and people just taking time to enjoy their family and friends.
So here I am, I hope you enjoy the work I have done so far and I look forward to working with you in the near future.
